Dear Dr. Breaux,

WOW! I had my LASIK done on 2/5/07 and it is absolutely wonderful. It is an especially great feeling to not wear contact lenses. No hassles with solutions or drops or wearing glasses when I take my contacts out at night. I went skiing, and even though it was cold, there wasn't the usual expectation with complete dryness with the contacts. It is so great and it is truly hard to explain.

I am looking forward to swimming and going to the ocean this summer without contacts. I have an active lifestyle, mostly outdoors like camping, backpacking, and running, so the LASIK procedure is the greatest.

Thank you for performing LASIK on my eyes, both at once!

I am able to see clearly at distances, and as a result, my driving has improved and become stress-free. I am happy not to have glasses falling off while dancing. Yoga practice is much more comfortable, and I enjoy being able to see where I am going while swimming.

My glasses don’t get caught in my clothing, and I don’t worry about sitting on them or searching for them. I don’t wear glasses anymore!

P.S. I donated all my old glasses, eight pairs, to the Lion’s Club for needy people.

Shortly after the operation, I did experience a “dry eye” feeling for several weeks. Dr. Breaux assured me that this would eventually go away and it did!
