Oakland ophthalmologist Dr. Barry Breaux specializes in complete vision care services, including complete eye exams, contact lens fittings, and the latest techniques in vision correction, such as clear lensectomy with implants, cataract removal with implants, LASIK, and PRK.
Dr. Breaux offers the ReSTOR® Multifocal Implant and the Crystalens®, both FDA-approved intraocular lenses (IOL's) that restore both distance AND near vision after surgery. Dr. Breaux also offers services for Glaucoma and Diabetic Retinopathy, including Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty and Retinal Laser procedures.
Dr. Breaux is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Breaux received his Medical Degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, and completed a three-year Residency in Ophthalmology at the King-Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Breaux also completed additional fellowship training in Refractive Surgery to become expertly qualified to correct a wide variety of vision problems including myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
